Project Cost Analyst

Assist the Project Manager in cost estimation, formulate budget and regulate budget for each assigned project. Update and evaluate the accuracy of the project forecast by assessing actual cost incurred and physical progress achieved for all phases of project. Keep track and maintain project budgets/estimates. Consolidate data in project cost reports for project manager’s review and approval. Prepare and update project cash flow forecasts.

Desired Skills & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
Two years of experience in similar position or as staff accountant.
Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks/projects.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals both inside and outside the organization.
Ability to work well as an integral part of a large project team that includes all engineering disciplines.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

Operations Analyst

Apply mathematical or financial modeling to analyze data that assists Project Manager with decision making and scheduling all activities associated with assigned projects to produce an integrated critical path schedule. Analyze and report project progress and manpower requirement. Keep track and maintain project budgets and estimates. Perform project monitoring, conduct project audit, data collection and oversee regulatory compliance to determine if a project is progressing according to budget. Update and evaluate the accuracy of the project operations forecast by analyzing actual costs incurred and progress achieved for each phase of project/operations.

Master’s degree in Finance or Bachelor’s degree in Finance plus 5 years of experience in similar position or as staff accountant.

Junior Communications Engineer

B&C Transit, Inc. is seeking a Junior Communications Engineer. The successful applicant will be actively involved in the engineering development and design process, including field installation and testing of the systems we design.

Qualifications:

4 year degree: EE, CS, EECS, IT, Network or Computer Engineering.
1-2 years experience wiring, testing and troubleshooting electronic equipment.
1-2 years experience manipulating data within a Windows operating system.
1-2 years experience with Autocad 2000 or later.
1-2 years experience with Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Word and Excel.
EIT or CCNA certification preferred.
Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.

Principal Engineer – Rail Transit

Principle Engineer to join firm’s growing transit Systems practice. The position requires extensive experience with multi-disciplinary transit system engineering projects from conceptual design through construction. Management experience must cover Train Control, Communications, Traction Power, Fare Collection, and related electrical/mechanical. Experience should include management of designs from preliminary through biddable documents. Duties include:

Working closely with owner/client top develop requirements.
Managing production of design and contract documents.
Developing project budgets.
Developing project schedules.
Managing integration among/between disciplines.
Incorporation of systems designs into infrastructure.

Sr. Integration Engineer – Rail Transit

B & C Transit, Inc. is seeking a Mid to Senior level Integration Engineer to join the firm’s growing transit Systems practice. The successful candidate should have design and construction experience in a core Systems Transit discipline (Power, Traction Power, Train Control, or Communications) and have experience in preparing project proposals, design reports, engineering plans and specifications for rail transit systems elements.

The successful candidate should also have experience in developing and leading a Project Integration program, facilitating the design, construction, start-up and testing coordination between Systems, Civil, Structural and Mechanical disciplines. Experience shall include developing an Integration Plan, development and updating of an Interface database, chairing Interface Coordination Meetings and performing Interdisciplinary reviews of design packages both within and across contractual boundaries. The candidate will also be required to participate in project management and the development of junior engineering staff.

The candidate will be required to work in the company office, be co-located in the Client’s office, and in the field. Some travel will be required to meet specific project requirements.

At least 10 years of experience in the rail industry with experience in rail & transit project management, integration, design, cost estimating, procurement, testing and commissioning. This position requires a BSEE, EIT (PE preferred) and Word, Excel and CAD experience.
