Signaling

The signal division is the core company business and has been servicing national and international commuter railways since the company’s inception. B&C Transit Inc. employs expert engineers and technicians knowledgeable in all aspects of the train industry.

The engineering staff has fully qualified professionals in power calculations, cable calculations, code system applications, software applications, systems engineering, project management, communications, installation supervision, testing and circuit application systems –ranging from basic block signaling systems to fully automatic driverless systems.

Throughout the years we have designed systems using relay and microprocessor based products involving the application and programming of vital and non-vital processors, track circuits, ground equipment, power equipment, and highway crossing equipment from a number of vendors. We also have experience in the application of commercial PLC’s from Allen-Bradley and Modicon (to name a few).

B&C Transit Inc. engineers have experience in developing systems from an overall systems engineering approach. Our approach focuses on defining customers needs and required functionality early in the development cycle, documenting requirements, then proceeding with design synthesis and system validation while all along considering the complete problem.

Our systems engineers integrate all the disciplines and specialty groups into a team effort: forming a structured development process that proceeds from concept to production to operation. Our system engineers consider both the business and technical needs of all customers — with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the clients needs.

B&C Transit Inc. understands that in today’s competitive environment, the success of a project rests on management of time, budget, and quality. That is why we have engineers trained in the principles of project management to implement our various projects. These engineers act as the primary customer contact and are responsible for the overall execution of the project.
